Whanganui River Jet Boat Tours

Spirit of the River Jet (formerly Whanganui Jet) is the closest Qualmarked Visitor Endorsed Activity to Wanganui City.

We have a jetboating trip with Canoe option leaving daily from Brent and Claire's family Marae, just 20 minutes drive from Wanganui. This trip is a great way to enjoy the Awa (river) - Whanganui river experience, with it's scenic beauty, history and its many stories. Brent is the only Tangata Whenua (local Maori) jet boat tour operator on the Whanganui River. As tangata whenua Brent has an intimate knowledge of the Whanganui river and the local Wanganui region.

We are proud of this wonderful part of Aotearoa-New Zealand, and it is our privilege to be able to share our heritage with you.

6 adults and 2 children from Australia decided to take a boat ride and gave Brent a call. We took a short car drive along beautiful countryside and we were met by Brent. He is a very knowlegable person with a great sense of humour. The boat ride was fantastic and something we would recommend to everyone of all ages - the kids and adults had a ball. Stopping at the Flying Fox for morning tea was superb, the best muffins and jam ever tasted. Shame about the Rugby Brent - go the Aussies!!! Thanks for a wonderful trip.

I went with a group of "Moteliers" on the trip to "The Fox". Brent is a great host and has an amazing knowledge of the river and its history.
